Rays Power Appoints Distributed Solar CEO

Indian solar power EPC company Rays Power Infra has appointed Rahul Mishra as the CEO of Rays Future Energy India. The new business division is solely dedicated to distributed solar generation including rooftop solutions, energy storage, e-vehicles and associated infrastructure and solar energy based products. 

Rays Power Infra is majorly focused on developing large scale solar power plants. With Mishra coming in 'as an equity partner', the company expects him to spearhead the overall management of the new business initiative. Mishra will also be looking after day-to-day business operations of the firm.

Mishra comes from private equity fund Nereus Capital that invests in the Indian renewable energy sector. In his previous commitments, he was involved in setting up operations of GE Energy Financial Services (EFS) in India and the South East Asia region.

"We believe his strong cross-functional expertise in areas including but not confined to equity and debt financing, fund raising, project development & execution, and commercial and contract management will be accretive and will help growing the new business," said Ketan Mehta, CEO of Rays Power Infra Pvt.
