Sky Solar’s Chief Financial Officer Andrew Wang Puts In Papers; Chief Investment Officer Sanjay Shrestha Takes Over; Company Creates New Position Of Corporate Treasurer

Chinese solar power project developer and operator, Sky Solar Holdings Ltd., has announced its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Andrew Wang is on its way out of the company after working for seven years. He will continue to remain as an advisor with Sky Solar for several more weeks, though not specified exactly till when, to ensure a smooth transition. Wang is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

His position will be filled up by the company's Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Sanjay Shrestha who will also replace Wang on the board. Shrestha joined Sky Solar in April 2015 as President of Sky Capital America Inc.

In addition, a new position of Corporate Treasurer has been created to be headed by Aditya Satghare who is currently serving as vice president of Sky Capital. Satghare's role will enhance the management of balance sheet, cash flows, and deployment across various regions. The management says a Corporate Treasurer will strengthen the CFO office. Satghare's responsibilities will further expand to lead the project financing efforts for the entire company and to work closely with all regional finance and investment teams.

"We wish Andrew all the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his years of service with the company. We are pleased to welcome Sanjay as chief financial officer, and believe that his extensive experience in the industry and within the company will significantly enhance our execution capabilities in our two key regions of Japan and the Americas," read a statement from the company's Board of Directors.

In June 2017, Sky Solar had let go its CEO Weili Su, bringing in Hao Wu in his place. Another high profile exit from the company back then was that of Andrew Y.Yan resigning as independent director who left for personal reasons (see Sky Solar Replaces CEO Weili Su).
