US-based Swift Current Energy, backed by funds managed by IFM Investors and Lookout Ridge Energy Partners, has announced a leadership change, appointing Michael Arndt as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will replace Eric Lammers, Swift Current’s Co-Founder and CEO, effective April 6, 2026.
Lammers is credited with raising over $1.5 billion in project financing, $1.2 billion in tax equity and tax credit transfers, and $750 million in corporate debt during his tenure.
The company has so far commercialized over 5 GW of projects and currently operates more than 1 GW of utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across North America.
Arndt moves to Swift Current from Canadian Solar subsidiary Recurrent Energy, where he led the North America business as President and General Manager and worked with the company for over 8 years. He led the creation of Recurrent’s battery storage business division and helmed the company’s transition to an independent power producer (IPP).
He previously also worked with NRG Energy, Element Power, Invenergy, and Navitas Energy. Arndt served as a Board Member of the American Clean Power Association for close to 3 years.
“We are excited to welcome Michael Arndt to the company. We believe his track record of scaling renewable platforms and driving disciplined growth makes him well suited to lead Swift Current into its next phase,” said IFM Investors Executive Director Neil Doherty.
