TrinaTracker has signed an agreement to deliver 130 MWp of its next-generation smart solar tracking solutions for the Colinas Project in Pernambuco, Brazil — the first public-private partnership (PPP) solar initiative in the country’s Northeast. The project is being developed by Kroma Energia and Elétron Energy in collaboration with the state-owned utility Companhia Pernambucana de Saneamento (Compesa). The contract was formalized during Intersolar South America, one of the region’s leading solar industry events.
Located across the municipalities of Garanhuns and Brejão, the Colinas Project will feature TrinaTracker’s Vanguard 1P system equipped with SuperTrack smart tracking technology, which optimizes energy production even under challenging terrain and weather conditions.
All trackers for the Colinas project will be locally manufactured in full compliance with BNDES FINAME financing requirements —underscoring TrinaTracker’s commitment to supporting local industry, while ensuring robust engineering expertise and customer service in the country.
The Vanguard 1P has been certified by CPP Wind, a global authority in wind-load testing. Recognized for its proven reliability and performance, the system is well-suited for utility-scale projects. With the SuperTrack algorithm, the trackers automatically adjust panel angles to minimize row-to-row shading and maximize overall energy yield.
Marcus Fabrino, Head of TrinaTracker for Latin America and the Caribbean, said:
“We are proud to bring our smart tracking solutions to the Colinas Project. Despite the site’s uneven terrain, our system is designed to overcome such challenges and enhance energy generation. Signing this agreement at Intersolar makes it even more meaningful, and reinforces our strong commitment to Brazil and the wider region.”
This milestone further strengthens TrinaTracker’s leadership in Brazil’s utility-scale solar tracker market.
