The TaiyangNews PV Price Index resumed its upward trend in Calendar Week 37, with select upstream products seeing increases week-on-week (WoW).
N-type silicon and granular silicon rose 2.0% and 4.3% WoW, respectively, contributing to double-digit gains month-on-month (MoM).
Among wafers, n-type 182 mm and 210 mm increased 4.0% and 3.1% WoW, while the 210R remained flat.
TOPCon cells showed mixed movement: the 182 mm and 210 mm variants were up 2.3% and 0.7%, while the 210R declined 0.7% WoW.
Module prices remained unchanged in CW37, as in the previous week.
The 2 solar glass types were flat in CW37, after the 2 mm variant rebounded to RMB 14/m² (its CW25 level) in CW35.
Overall, CW37 was positive for the PV Price Index. On a MoM basis, all product categories are up in the single- to low-double-digit range. Excluding discontinued products, all but 3 tracked products are flat to up year-to-date (YtD). The polysilicon category continues to show the strongest increases, up 24.3% to 32.4% YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
