With the addition of 2 products since last week, the number of listed products on the TaiyangNews PV Price Index has grown to 25 as of Calendar Week 14.
As has been the case since CW2 of 2025, the polysilicon category remains unchanged in CW14.
The 3 n-type wafers saw increases ranging from 1.9% to 6.9% in CW14. The lack of data for p-type wafers this week indicates that p-type has become a niche and is no more part of the mainstream.
CW14 was another week of stability for the cells category, with all cell types maintaining their prices from CW13.
BC modules mark their entry into the TaiyangNews PV Price Index this week, commanding the highest prices among modules.
After seeing an increase of 15% in CW13, the 3.2 mm solar glass rose 2.2% in CW14, while the 2.0 mm variant logged a 3.7% increase WoW.
Barring the, yet unknown, lack of data for p-type wafers in CW14, Calendar Year 2025 has been a positive one for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 13 of the 25 tracked products registering price increases.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
