In somewhat of a departure from its upward trend, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index saw price decreases for 2 listed products in Calendar Week 15.
The polysilicon category continues to see no changes, as has been the case since CW2 of 2025.
The n-type 210 wafer declined 1.3% WoW, while the other 2 n-type wafers maintained their prices from CW14. The lack of data for p-type wafers could indicate that p-type is now a niche and is no more part of the mainstream.
Mirroring its wafer counterpart, the bifacial TOPCon 210R cell type also declined in CW15, down 2.9%.
All 8 module types were flat WoW, with BC modules commanding the highest prices in the category.
The 3.2 mm solar glass was stable WoW, while the 2.0 mm variant logged a 3.6% increase from CW14.
Barring the, yet unknown, lack of data for p-type wafers, Calendar Year 2025 has been a positive one for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 13 of the 25 tracked products registering price increases YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
