The TaiyangNews PV Price Index remained unchanged in Calendar Week 6, as China gets back to business following the Lunar New Year celebrations.
The n-type and granular silicon variants are up 3.7% and 5.4% YtD, as the remaining polysilicon products maintain their prices.
The 3 n-type wafers are up in the range of 6.4% (n-type 210R) to 9.3% (n-type 182 mm) in the first 6 weeks of 2025.
The 1.8% increase for the n-type 182 mm cell seen in CW2 is the only change in this category since the start of CY2025.
The 2 TOPCon modules are the only ones from the module category to have seen price declines in CY2025, with the 182 mm variant down 1.4% and the 210 mm down 2.1% YtD.
Solar glass varieties have maintained their prices thus far this year, after seeing a sharp drop in the last week of CY2024.
The first 6 weeks of CY2025 have been largely positive for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with only the 2 TOPCon module types seeing price declines thus far. In general, products upstream have seen some upward movement while the downstream has been relatively stable.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
