The downward trend in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index extended into Calendar Week 13, with declines seen across most categories.
Polysilicon recorded the steepest drop, falling by double digits from CW12.
All 3 n-type wafer products declined WoW, with reductions ranging from 1.5% to 4.5%.
Like wafers, all 3 listed n-type cells recorded decreases WoW, ranging from 2.6% to 5.1%.
In the modules category, 8 out of 10 listed products saw price drops of between 0.6% and 4.2% WoW.
Solar glass prices remained flat WoW, after seeing their first declines of 2026 in CW11.
After a strong start to the year, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index is gradually turning negative in 2026. With declines now extending through CW13, the index has entered a 5-week downward streak. Polysilicon and wafers are down in the vicinity of 20% YtD, while solar glass has seen single-digit declines. Cell prices have erased their earlier gains, whereas modules remain in positive territory for now.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
