Calendar Week 14 marked the 6th straight week of declines for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with all categories posting drops except solar glass.
As in CW13, polysilicon saw the steepest fall, declining by mid-single digits WoW, low double digits MoM, and between 21.8% and 31.4% YtD.
The 3 n-type wafer products fell by 2.9%-4.2% WoW, pushing their YtD declines beyond 20%.
Cell prices followed a similar trend, dropping 2.7%-5.4% WoW. The segment has now slipped into negative territory YtD.
In the modules category, 8 listed products recorded price declines of 0.6% to 2.6% WoW, mirroring the trend seen in CW13.
Solar glass prices remained flat WoW, after seeing their first declines of 2026 in CW11.
Overall, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index has firmly turned negative in CY2026, with modules the only segment still in positive territory YtD. The current downturn has now stretched to 6 consecutive weeks: polysilicon and wafers are down over 20% YtD, while solar glass and cells have posted single-digit declines.
