Continuing the strong start in Calendar Week 1, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index saw meaningful price increases in CW2, especially in the cell and module categories.
The polysilicon category remains unchanged, as has been the case since CW41 2025.
Wafer prices were flat WoW, after n-type 182 and 210R wafers recorded increases of 3.8% and 0.8%, respectively, in CW1.
The TOPCon 182 mm and Bifacial 210R cell types were both up 2.7% WoW.
There were broad-based increases throughout the module category, ranging from 2.6% to 10.3%.
The 2 solar glass variants were stable WoW.
Calendar Year 2026 has started off reasonably well for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 11 products logging price increases in the first 2 weeks of the year, with none registering decreases.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
