Calendar Week 6 was the third consecutive week of declines in 2026 for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, albeit limited to one product category, like CW5.
The polysilicon category remains unchanged, as has been the case since CW41 2025.
There were bigger declines in the wafer category than CW5, with n-type 210 mm, 182 mm, and 210R prices down 5.4%, 6.7%, and 6.3%, respectively.
Prices in the cell category remained unchanged WoW, but up 14.5% to 17.6% YtD.
Like cells, prices in the module category also remained stable WoW.
Prices for the 2 solar glass variants have remained unchanged since CW49 of 2025.
As last week, one product category declined in Calendar Week 6, while the remaining categories were flat WoW. With these declines, the cell category is firmly in negative territory, while downstream products remain positive YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
