The 6th edition of the TOP SOLAR MODULES Analysis from TaiyangNews analyzes commercial solar module performance from January 2023 to June 2025. Taking the input data from the monthly TOP SOLAR MODULES feature, the report focuses on high-efficiency products from manufacturers with in-house cell production and highlights trends across key cell technologies.

The report outlines leading companies and products through efficiency rankings and categorizes modules into 4 efficiency bands. The report also presents an analysis of module products based on 4 mainstream technologies – back contact (BC), HJT, TOPCon, and PERC – providing a comparative view of their efficiency trends over the past 30-month period.

BC, HJT, and TOPCon products all showed measurable improvements, with several models setting new benchmarks. In contrast, PERC modules remained unchanged in terms of peak efficiency, and many were gradually phased out of the listings as manufacturers shifted to more advanced technologies.

Module power ratings are addressed separately, with products grouped into 3 output classes and a noticeable shift toward ratings above 600 W. A company-wise summary presents each product’s efficiency and power data. The report also includes the Badge of Excellence for 2024, recognising manufacturers that maintained Top 10 status for at least 6 months in the previous calendar year.
