Deye Unveils Solar-Powered Air Conditioners At SNEC 2026

Deye highlighted its solar AC portfolio with real-time energy monitoring features at the show in Shanghai

Ningbo Deye Technology Co., Ltd., a provider of PV inverters and storage solutions, participated in SNEC 2026 with a range of solar-driven home appliances, such as air-conditioners, pumps, and water heaters. 

The TaiyangNews team, during the booth visit, enquired about the displayed solar air-conditioners (AC), which were also covered in the liveblog session (see Live Blog - June 3-5, 2026 -TaiyangNews Team @ SNEC 2026, Shanghai, China!). These showcased ACs are of a hybrid AC/DC type, which fully run on connected PV power (DC) in off-grid mode during daytime and switch to grid power at night. Deye says it saves electricity costs and reduces carbon footprint by running on a hybrid mode (solar/grid) compared to a traditional grid-based AC. Users can automatically monitor and maintain a balance between solar energy and AC supply in real-time via a mobile-based app.  

At the show, the company promoted 3 split-type solar ACs, DGA2-ACDCBLW-12K, DGA1-ACDCBLW-18KDGA1-ACDCBLW-24K. These ACs, explained Deye, are designed to support PV capacities of up to 4 × 330 W, 6 × 330 W, and 8 × 330 W, respectively, in off-grid mode. They are also compatible with a 220 V 1-phase power supply in on-grid mode. In terms of rated cooling capacity, these ACs have two different parameters for T1 and T3 tropical climate classes (<= 58°C).  

The 1st model has an average cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU (British Thermal Unit) (equivalent to 1 ton of refrigeration). Similarly, the 2nd and 3rd products are rated for a cooling capacity of 17,300 BTU (1.5 ton) and 22,000 BTU (2 ton), respectively. As per Deye, these ACs also have a dehumidification or dry mode function, which removes excess moisture from the air while providing only a small amount of cooling. On the hardware part, they are equipped with BLDC motor-based indoor and outdoor fans comprising rotary inverter compressors.
