Signergy’s SigenStor Neo series hybrid storage system can deliver up to 15 kW of power with a storage capacity of up to 45 kWh
It can deliver emergency backup support to the whole-home load via an integrated 63 A backup switch board
The system can also be integrated with an external DG set
Solar-plus-storage system maker Sigenergy Technology has been named a finalist for its latest SigenStor Neo series product under the ‘Energy Storage’ category for The smarter E AWARD 2026.
This product features a 3-phase hybrid inverter at the top, followed by vertically stacked battery packs. The inverter consists of 4 MPPT channels, each capable of handling up to 40 A DC. However, the maximum allowable PV capacity was not specified on The smarter E AWARD’s website. It can use 6 battery packs of either 6 kWh or 7.5 kWh with a corresponding 3-phase output (AC) capacity of 15 kW. Thus, the system can be configured into a 15 kW/36 kWh or 15 kW/45 kWh home storage system.
Apart from the on-grid operation of storing excess PV generation and feeding real-time loads, it switches to backup mode almost immediately (0 ms) after a grid outage. It delivers whole-home backup via an integrated 63 A backup switch. At the same time, it can support up to 200% the rated full-load capacity of 15 kW for up to 10 seconds, maintaining uninterrupted operation of inductive household loads. For a longer-duration backup than a standard PV + storage configuration, especially during low solar availability, this system is compatible with connecting to an external diesel generator (DG) set.
On the safety side, the company highlighted the embedded automatic arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) function. It prevents electric arc-driven fires by disconnecting the system from the grid upon detecting an anomaly.
