23.65% Efficiency For Heterojunction Module

Chinese solar cell and module producer Risen Energy Co., Ltd. has achieved 23.65% power conversion efficiency for its high efficiency heterojunction solar module series with a maximum power output of 721.016W.

Management shared that the said module combined the latest HJT cell and advanced module technologies with ultra-high efficiency HJT cell and ultra-low cell to module loss, which contributed to a steady improvement in efficiency. The company's HJT cells and modules come with a bifacial rate of over 80%.

Risen Energy claims TÜV Rheinland's confirmation for this efficiency level which it says breaks the company's own record of 23.08% announced in July 2021.

"As a leader in heterojunction (HJT) technology, Risen Energy has broken its own HJT world record three times in one year, constantly challenging limits and achieving new innovations in technology," stated Risen Energy.

This year, Risen Energy launched its 210mm silicon wafer sized 700W high efficiency solar module at SNEC 2021, combining TOPCon and HJT technologies with an overall efficiency of 22.5% (see 700W Solar Power Module From Risen Energy).

Recently during TaiyangNews' 3-day virtual conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies, Risen Energy's General Manager of the HJT business unit, Po-Chuan Yang called HJT better than TOPCon and PERC due to its lower carbon footprint and said his company plans to stick to HJT technology anticipating it to be the mainstream cell technology in 2024 (see Day 2: High Efficiency Solar Technologies).
