  • The company increased mass-production ABC cell efficiency to 27.4% and reduced inactive module area by 20%

  • AIKO also launched the residential-focused Z Series with 500 W output, all-black design, and 40-year product and performance warranties

AIKO launched 2 new BC module series at Intersolar Europe 2026. The 4th-generation INFINITE ULTRA series module targets utility-scale applications, while the Z Series is designed for the residential market. The company reported a module efficiency of up to 25.6% and a maximum power output of 690 W for the INFINITE ULTRA platform.

The company increased the average mass-production BC cell efficiency from 27.2% to 27.4%. According to AIKO, the improvement contributes approximately 5 W of additional module power. At the module level, AIKO reduced inactive areas by 20% compared with the previous generation, enabling around 7 W of additional output within the same footprint.

For utility-scale applications, the 66-cell INFINITE ULTRA module delivers up to 670 W while maintaining 85% bifaciality. AIKO stated that the module delivers approximately 20 W more power than current TOPCon 3.0 products under comparable bifacial conditions.

The INFINITE ULTRA series builds on technologies introduced in earlier generations, including InvisiRibbon and ZeroGap designs. AIKO attributed the efficiency improvement to a series of process refinements across cell manufacturing, including optimizations to texturing, tunnel oxide formation, poly-Si processing, and hydrogenation. The company also introduced a nano-scale insulation coating and process modifications intended to maintain electrical insulation and long-term reliability while reducing inactive spacing within the module.

Alongside the utility-scale platform, AIKO introduced the Z Series for premium residential installations. The modules feature a uniform all-black appearance, with no front-side busbars and a fully black rear surface. AIKO said the design also reduces the visibility of dust accumulation compared with conventional residential modules. The 54-cell format delivers up to 500 W while maintaining a footprint under 2 m² and a weight under 25 kg.

The Z Series is backed by a 40-year product warranty and a 40-year performance warranty. The company expects to begin commercial deliveries of both the INFINITE ULTRA and Z Series modules in Q3 2026.

AIKO said this launch reflects its continued focus on advancing its ABC technology platform. According to the company, mass-production module efficiency has increased from 22.1% to 25.6% over the past 4 years, while module power has risen from 570 W to 690 W.
