At the recently concluded SNEC 2024 in China, AIKO Solar, the pioneer in back-contact technology, showcased its latest product offerings for residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications.
Residential ABC module
Talking to the company during the show, AIKO Solar showed the recent expansion of its residential NEOSTAR product family with the launch of the 3rd generation double-glass Neostar 3S54 model. This 54 full-black ABC-cell-based double-glass series model offers power classes between 460 W to 485 W and an efficiency of up to 24.3%, added AIKO . The modules with a dimension of 1,762 x 1,134 x 30 mm in less than 2 m² active area, offer the world’s highest module efficiency of 24.3%, claims AIKO. Its high efficiency can be attributed to ABC technology’s key features – partial shading optimization, improved temperature coefficient of -0.26%/℃, and high-temperature restriction. The all-black aesthetic look makes this small-size module suitable for the residential rooftop application. The company says this high-efficiency module will be commercially available by 2024 and will offer a 25-year product and a 30-year linear power performance warranty.
C&I ABC module
AIKO displayed its latest commercial and industrial (C&I) 72 full-black ABC-cell based 3rd generation monofacial Comet 3N72e model. This 72-ABC-cell based full-black aesthetic module, with a dimension of 2,278 x 1,134 x 30 mm, will be offered in power classes between 625 W and 650 W and efficiency of up to 25.2%. The company claimed that 25.2% efficiency would be the benchmark in industry and commercially available by the end of this year. This ultra-high efficiency underscores AIKO’s successful implementation of busbarless or 0BB metallization technology, where the soldering ribbon is glued on top of the cell instead of soldering on specific points. When commercially available, the model will be offered with a 25-year product warranty coupled with a 30-year linear performance warranty.
Full-Screen ABC module
AIKO’s brand new Full-screen ABC module with 25%+ mass production efficiency was the showstopper at the event. The company noted that its next-generation “Full-Screen" technology achieved comprehensive improvements in technology and processes from silicon wafers, cells, and other components. Its 25%+ ultra-high mass-scale module efficiency can be attributed to ultra-high resistance n-type silicon wafers, and extremely efficient ABC cell technology superimposed with highly reliable 0BB string welding technology. In addition, the innovative bus bar hiding, and precise stack welding technology, coupled with the improved full coverage rate of ABC cells, significantly contribute to enhanced module efficiency, added the company. AIKO displayed its 680 W commercial and industrial (C&I) scale Full-Screen ABC module and efficiency of up to 25.2% in a dimension of 2,382 x 1,134 mm. On the other hand, its 2,465 x 1,134 mm size centralized application version boasts a maximum power output of 700 W. The full-screen technology ABC module was officially launched on June 12, 2024.
