Enerc, a containerized liquid cooling Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) from CATL, was shortlisted for The ees Award 2023. The storage device is a highly integrated solution that combines a liquid-cooled battery system with a maximum temperature difference of 5°C between the cells, an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System, a fire suppression system, and a controller in one container.
The CTP uses battery cells based on lithium-iron-phosphate, which are considered very safe and are designed for a service life of 12,000 charge cycles. According to the previously available data, Enerc is designed for all-weather energy storage applications in harsh environments, such as extreme temperatures, high humidity, desert, and ocean. The solution features IP55 and C5 anti-corrosion protection, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the whole system for 20 years.
Enerc is a scalable solution, with a capacity of up to 10 MWh per container. It can be easily connected to other Enerc containers to form a larger system. The system is also compatible with a variety of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power.
