Scheduled for completion in 2025, the South Australian solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) in Coonawarra will be equipped with Canadian Solar-made anti-hail TOPCon modules. This upcoming solar farm, paired with a DC-coupled BESS system, will be developed by Flow Power, an Australian energy retailer. Addressing the severe nature of Australia’s environmental occurrences, the module maker is providing anti-hail technology for the first time in the country. Canadian Solar's statement also stated that the project will serve as one of the sites it will collaborate with Flow Power collaborate to install anti-hail technology across Australia.

Flow Power’s General Manager of Energy Projects, Tom Harrison, quoted, “We’re excited to be using Canadian Solar’s TOPCon anti-hail panels in our upcoming energy projects.”

"We are proud to partner with Flow Power to bring our advanced anti-hail solar panels to Australian energy projects," said Dr. Shawn Qu, Chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar.
