  • Desun has unveiled its latest flexible solar panel featuring DuPont Tedler's frontsheet
  • DuPont's latest frontsheet's properties can ensure the flexible module's long-term reliability
  • DuPont's Tedlar-based frontsheet is transparent to allow enough sunlight onto the solar cells

On June 19, 2024, Desun's latest flexible solar panel, built with DuPont's Tedlar® frontsheet, was officially launched at the ongoing Intersolar Europe 2024 event at booth no. B2.151 K in the presence of a DuPont Tedlar team representative .

The Tedlar-based frontsheet, with its high light transmittance level, can pass enough sunlight into the cells keeping the long-term reliability and performance of the flexible module intact, according to DuPont. It says the frontsheet has all the required characteristics like mechanical robustness, abrasion resistance, and stability at outdoor environmental loads, to ensure field performance and reliability of any flexible modules.

As a strategic partner of Desun, Global Business Director of DuPont Tedlar, Ryan Peng, said, "With the increasing need for flexible solar panels targeting consumer applications, Tedlar frontsheet can be found in a variety of flexible solar panel applications including mobile charging, portable applications and attached applications. The unique properties make it an ideal solution for the protective frontsheet of flexible solar panels."

The General Manager of Desun Energy, Yao Feilong, commented, "The addition of Tedlar® frontsheet protection makes our flexible solar panels ideal for various consumer application scenarios, including balcony solar system, solar-powered recreational vehicle, solar power bank and outdoor power supply of electric tool. We can tailor design these solar panels based on the specific requirements of end consumers."
