Arctech, a well-known tracker manufacturer, during intersolar 2023 showcased the world's first dual-row solar tracker designed with the multi-point drive mechanism, SkyWings, and its BIPV solutions such as Smart Rooftop BIPV.

SkyWings, the world's first dual row solar tracker, is equipped with a patented multi-point drive mechanism, combining the benefits of dual row trackers and a multi-point drive design. The tracking solution enhances adaptability to uneven terrain and increases structural rigidity. These bidirectional slew drives allow 2 tracker rows to move synchronously, thereby boosting undulation tolerance to 15% in all directions. This innovative design accommodates more PV modules than traditional systems and ensures stowing in a flat position to minimize pressure on PV module surfaces, consequently optimizing energy yield. SkyWings also demonstrates efficiency in installation with its post span extending up to 10 meters, which can decrease costs by up to 20% and overall expenditure by up to 2%. Further, it is integrated with second-generation AI algorithms for real-time tracker tilt optimization and is fully compatible with Arctech's cleaning robot product, SkyWe, to maximize solar energy production.

The SkyLine II Tracker is an independent horizontal single-axis tracking system with a ±60° tracking range, built with durable materials like galvanized steel to endure harsh conditions. This system, able to support up to 120 modules per tracker and compatible with both 1,000 V and 1,500 V system voltages, consumes just 0.04 kWh of energy per day and is stable against wind-induced instabilities up to 70 m/s. Its electronic controller employs astronomical algorithms and tilt sensor closed-loop control for high tracking accuracy and offers terrain adaptive intelligent backtracking with communication options via LoRa wireless or RS 485 cable. Special modes like night position, snow, and hail protection are also included, and additional options such as flood mode, snow mode, and wind stow mode can be activated as per the environmental conditions. Various foundation options are provided to cater to different installation requirements.
