  • EFT Energy Solutions has introduced its INDUSTRIAL FLEX BESS that features BYD’s MC Cube battery units with a storage capacity of up to 501 kWh and a 144 kW PCS

  • Its capacity can be scaled up to 2,004 kWh and 576 kW by connecting 4 units in parallel

  • This BESS’s pre-assembled units minimize installation work and enable quick deployment for C&I projects

EFT Energy Solutions, a European provider of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and a subsidiary of EFT Systems Group, has unveiled a modular and ready-to-deploy product, INDUSTRIAL FLEX, for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications.

The company highlights the combination of installation simplicity, typically common in residential storage, and the ability to scale capacity according to the evolving demands of C&I consumers, as the product’s key features.

It consists of 2 main components: BYD’s MC Cube series battery units and an Integrated Control Cabinet (ICC) that houses the Power Conversion System (PCS). Its rated storage capacity is 501 kWh, and the corresponding power output (AC) is 144 kW. This capacity can be scaled up to 2,004 kWh of storage capacity and 576 kW of power output by connecting 4 battery units and 4 × 144 kW PCS units in parallel. With a maximum C-rate (charging/discharging) of 0.5C, it provides backup for up to 7 hours. With factory-assembled and tested units, it allows quick plug-and-play installation.

In terms of operational flexibility, it supports diverse C&I applications, including self-consumption optimization, peak shaving, time-of-use shifting, and power trading. For special use cases like EV charging, renewable energy heating, hybrid genset operations, or wind-solar integration, EFT offers an energy management system (EMS). It enables integration with SCADA systems and upstream energy management platforms in real-time.

INDUSTRIAL FLEX operates in an operational temperature range of -25°C to +50°C, making it suitable for harsh C&I environments. Additionally, its corrosion resistance, up to C5, ensures stable operation in hazardous industrial installations. It also operates at its full load capacity in hilly regions with an altitude of up to 3,000 m.
