Future Energy, a fairly new entrant in China’s heterojunction (HJT) cell and module manufacturing space, displayed its latest HJT modules suitable for multiple application scenarios at SNEC 2024. The company currently has 20 GW of manufacturing capacity each for HJT cells and modules in 6 different locations inside China.

Speaking to TaiyangNews during the event, Future Energy highlighted its latest HJT modules for diverse applications.

Utility application

Future Energy’s new large-size module, with 132 pieces of 210 mm HJT half-cells, was the flagship product among others. This latest bifacial module, measuring 2,384 x 1,303 x 35 mm, boasts a power output range of 710 W to 730 W and an efficiency of 23.5%. Its double-sided microcrystalline (µC-Si) layer topped with transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer HJT cell structure delivers a module bifaciality of up to 90%, added the company. The usage of butyl rubber (PIB) along the frame of the HJT module mitigates the risk of humidity ingression inside the module lamination, making it suitable for offshore applications. The company said it expects to start shipping the modules globally by July 2024. The company offers 15 years of product and 30 years of linear power performance warranty for this product.

Residential application

The HJT maker also showcased a module made of 108 pieces of 210R HJT half-cells size at the show. The bifacial dual-glass module boasts a power output of up to 520 W and an efficiency of 23.4%. Measuring 1,960 x 1,134 x 30 mm size, the company says this HJT module is best suited for rooftop applications and offers 15 years of product and 30 years of power performance warranty.
