Gautam Solar launched its latest TOPCon modules at REI 2025
These modules feature power outputs of 635 W and 640 W, with efficiency reaching 23.69%
Both modules are BIS-certified and listed in the ALMM
Gautam Solar, one of India’s oldest PV module makers, launched its latest TOPCon PV modules at REI Expo 2025.
Chief among these products’ key features, the company emphasizes the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification and inclusion in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The BIS certification ensures that Indian PV modules meet the quality and safety standards as defined by the BIS, while ALMM verifies that only domestically manufactured modules are eligible for use in grid-connected government-sponsored PV projects.
The modules, consisting of 132 G12R half-cut cells, are rated for power outputs of 635 W and 640 W, with an efficiency of up to 23.69%. According to the company, these bifacial modules’ rear side delivers up to 30% more power than the front side alone under the same operating conditions. Compared to the standard TOPCon modules, the company claims they generate up to 5% higher output for a certain duration. Gautam Solar promotes the modules as suitable for both rooftop and utility projects; however, the press release didn’t share the exact size.
In terms of reliability, the 2 modules exhibit ‘minimal’ light-induced degradation (LID) and light and elevated temperature-induced degradation (LeTID) compared to the standard PERC cell-based counterpart.
We are awaiting commercialization details for these products at the time of publishing this article.
