GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (GCL SI), a leading renewable energy solutions provider, introduced its carbon tracking platform called SiRo at Intersolar Europe 2024. This platform is designed to track carbon emissions across the entire PV value chain.

SiRo leverages cutting-edge blockchain technology and strategic partnerships to create a seamless and transparent carbon-tracing system, helping to trace the carbon footprint of PV production. The platform tracks emissions from metallurgical polysilicon production through to fluidized bed reactor (FBR) polysilicon refinement, ingot and wafer production, cell manufacturing, and finally PV module assembly.

With SiRO, GCL SI aims to offer clients low carbon options by providing transparency on carbon emissions at each stage of production. Each SiRo module is equipped with a QR code that provides detailed data on its specific carbon emissions, backed by blockchain technology to ensure data integrity and prevent tampering.
