  • The Genius tracker is available in 1P and 2P configurations, 2P version is able to accommodate up to 120 modules and is designed to avoid back shading and support bifacial modules
  • The weatherSmart and SmartStow algorithms optimize tilt angle and stow the trackers in high wind conditions, respectively
  • The tracker system comes with typical market warranties of 10 years for the structure and 5 years for the electromechanical components with an option to extend the warranty upto 10 years.

GameChange solar tracker company, provides an independent-row tracker system named Genius, which is listed among the products in TaiyangNews' Market Survey on Solar Trackers.  The US based company offers both, fixed-mounting structures and solar trackers. The tracker is offered in both 1P and 2P configurations, and incorporates stronger and lighter S550 (80 ksi) steel versus S275-S355 (30-50 ksi) used by most of its competitors.

Genius trackers come with proprietary integrated hardware for faster structure assembly and pre-assembled components, such as drive arms and SpeedClamps (1P). GameChange claims zero maintenance for its drive system.

The 2P Genius tracker version, with an ability to accommodate 120 modules, is designed with a gap between the module row and the tube to avoid back-shading and to support bifacial modules. In order to further boost the bifacial gain, GameChange's Bifacial Reflector is designed with an albedo value of 0.95. The company claims that its self-cleaning reflector can boost the energy-yield gain by up to 15- 20%, which is an extra 5-8% bifacial gain.

GameChange's trackers use intelligent algorithms, called WeatherSmart and SmartStow. The first is a proprietary algorithm for tilt-angle optimization, which interacts dynamically with the environment and is able to differentiate between random cloud-shading and overall cloudy days to determine the best tilt position for energy-yield optimization. SmartStow helps to identify any sporadic and passing gusts of wind, or continuous strong wind. In this case, the tracker will be positioned at a 35° to 45° stow angle. Thus, the US-based company avoids the 0° stow flattening.

GameChange offers market-typical warranties of 10 years for the structure and 5 years for the electromechanical components with an extension up to 10 years as an option. The company's 1P tracker, measuring 100 m in length, can be mounted with 90 modules. All the specs for this model, barring those influenced by the mounting configuration, are the same as the one above.
