  • GoodWe’s SEMS+ offers a consistent visualization to end users, irrespective of the devices being used, such as mobile or computer

  • It integrates more than 13 types of device categories along with the GoodWe Ecosmart system

  • In terms of AI-powered functions, it features an AI-agent, AI-scheduling, and AI-health checkup

PV inverters and energy storage solutions (ESS) provider GoodWe has launched SEMS+ (Smart Energy Management System+), designed for remote monitoring and real-time energy management of residential solar-plus-storage assets and third-party devices through a consolidated digital platform.

The product features adaptive interfaces, integration of the whole ecosystem (solar-plus-storage), user-interactive operation & maintenance (O&M), and AI-powered functions, all unified on a single platform.

Accessible via app (mobile) or web-based browsers (laptop or personal computer), the platform brings together the GoodWe EcoSmart product portfolio, diverse energy assets, and more than 13 device types in a closed-loop network, says GoodWe. Without specifying the types of compatible devices, the company says that it acts as a centralized remote station, enabling autonomous control and monitoring by users. An interface shows real-time information through infographics, providing visibility into energy flow and assets (a single rooftop or global portfolio). This visualization can be adjusted between light and dark modes. The company adds that it ensures a consistent visualization experience across user devices, whether it be web or app interfaces.

In addition to unified visualization, monitoring, and controlling, it offers intelligent operational functions, driven by blended AI algorithms. Unlike conventional interfaces that let users navigate complex menus to check system status or receive troubleshooting guidance, SEMS+ integrates the ‘24/7 AI Agent’, which provides instant responses according to the prompt. In addition, its AI Scheduling function automates energy arbitrage (peak-shaving and valley-filling) with dynamic battery management based on daily consumption patterns, weather forecasts, and tariff data, replacing rigid scheduling, enhancing self-consumption and cost savings. It also automates asset health checkups, covering plants, inverters, PV strings (IV curve), and batteries with a ‘One-Click Checkup’ option, preventing potential risks or faults.

In terms of O&M optimization, it transforms complex energy logic into user-defined diagrams or charts, such as energy flow diagrams, sankey diagrams, and heatmaps, among others, providing deep insight into energy flow. It also lets O&M users compare stations or devices, enabling quick anomaly identification.
