Hoymiles, a global Module-Level Power Electronics (MLPE) solution provider, highlighted its wide range of product offerings from the latest microstorage system to microinverters. The company, with a 1,300-people global engineering team, has a distribution and service network spanning North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

Speaking to TaiyangNews, the company showcased an AC-coupled microstorage inverter, an 8-in-1 MiT super microinverter, and 4th gen MiS series microinverter at the show.

AC-coupled microstorage inverter

Hoymiles’ maiden MS microstorage series comes in combination with a 2-in-1 HMS-1000W-2T hybrid microinverter and MS-A2 series battery module suitable for small outdoor areas such as balconies and courtyards. The company noted that the 1 kW output AC-coupled storage system can be installed within only 7 seconds by connecting the MS battery solution between the existing microinverter and the grid power. Acknowledging the difficulty in the DC-coupled microstorage inverter, where the incoming DC power needs to be to the MPPT algorithm of the microinverter, Hoymiles chose the AC-coupled storage route. This microstorage inverter, equipped with an MS-A2 series 2.24 kWh battery module, can offer emergency power in off-grid mode during a grid outage. Its MS-A2 series battery module can also be used as a portable power supply for outdoor activities, added Hoymiles. This model is currently commercially available in Asia-Pacific and European markets.

MiT series 5 kW microinverter

The newly launched MIT-5000-8T Series microinverter, featuring 4 MPPT channels, boasts a power output of up to 5,000 W. This product, suitable for industrial, commercial, and large residential projects, operates below 120 V safe DC voltage across each MPPT channel in 2 series connected PV modules configuration. The low-safe DC voltage operation mitigates the risk of fire from any DC-high voltage arcing, emphasized the company. With 25 years of standard replacement warranty offered by the company, the latest microinverter offers greater long-term benefits compared to its peers. This model is expected to be commercially available in China by the end of 2024 followed by availability in the international market in 2025. The primary target market would include Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and Brazil, says the company.

Besides the high-capacity microinverter, the company displayed 2 variants of its HMS series microinverter – the 1 kW HMS-1000-2WB and the 2 kW HMS-2000-4WB. The 1 kW version is equipped with 2 DC input channels, while the 2 kW version features 4 DC input channels. Both models can be connected with WiFi and Bluetooth communication technology.
