HyperStrong’s Fuyang Wind-PV-storage project was recognized as a finalist for The smarter E AWARD 2024
The project features 90 liquid-cooled ESS containers, supporting a total capacity of 300 MW/600 MWh to store and redistribute renewable energy
Combining 1.2 GW of wind (550 MW) and solar (650 MW) power, the project is expected to generate nearly 2 billion kWh annually
HyperStrong’s Wind, PV Plus Storage Project in Fuyang, Anhui, managed by Beijing HyperStrong Technology, was among The smarter E AWARD 2024 finalists in the Outstanding Projects category.
This extensive ESS includes 90 standard containers with a total capacity of 300 MW/600 MWh and features advanced liquid cooling technologies to optimize efficiency. The project effectively stabilizes the local grid by storing excess energy from renewable sources, allowing for the redistribution of this power when demand peaks. The project has a significant impact on local energy consumption; it can cover the monthly electricity needs of 3,000 households with an average consumption of 200 kWh per month.
Additionally, it can supply the daily electricity consumption of 5.5 to 6 million kWh in the Fuyang district for about 2 to 3 hours, showcasing its substantial capacity and strategic importance. The combined generation from wind and solar power amounts to 1.2 GW, with 650 MW attributed to photovoltaics and 550 MW from wind. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce nearly 2 billion kWh of renewable electricity annually.
