Innovative Technologies Pty Ltd, an Australian and UK-based research & development company, recently developed a patent pending Integrated Vertical Solar System, which encompasses a battery power unit, solar panels with an in-built microinverter, and an innovative connector channel system. Along with the Integrated Vertical Solar System, the vertical PV solution provider offers customized Solar Shutter modules that can be installed into any vertical window frame on the outside or inside.

Integrated Vertical Solar System

The vertical solar system comes with a compact Lithium-ion-based rechargeable battery power unit, which stores excess renewable solar energy from the vertically connected solar panels. This battery power unit, nicknamed Superbright ECO Power Unit, with LED-based real-time stored energy data, is best suited to residential units or apartments.

The company procures certified tier-1 solar panels from reputed 3rd party PV module makers, who offer an industry-standard 25-year performance warranty. Each solar panel is integrated with an Enphase microinverter that offers safe and reliable operation by isolating particular faulty modules without affecting the whole system's operation. This feature also mitigates potential fire hazards originating from the module's DC electrical surges.

Along with the battery storage and solar modules, Innovative Technologies Pty Ltd offers the most critical component of the whole system – its patent-pending Connector Channel System. This system enables safe and secure vertical installation and electrical interconnection of n-number of PV panels in high-rise or low-rise buildings. Its non-combustible, non-corrosive high-grade fully recyclable marine aluminum ensures a high degree of weather resistance. These aluminum structures are certified according to non-combustible AS1530.1 and AS1530.3, Warrington fire-test standards (NCC compliant), and aluminum AWATA testing. The waterproofed connector channel system design securely houses the Enphase Micro-inverters connected to each solar panel.
