LG Energy Solution, a leading manufacturer of advanced lithium-ion batteries, announced the launch of its new residential storage system brand, LG enblock, along with an array of new residential and grid-scale Energy Storage System (ESS) products at ees Europe 2023. One of the recent launches of the company, the S-Frame pack, was also nominated as a finalist for The ees Award 2023. During the event, LG Energy Solution unveiled a live product demo and presentation, offering installers a deeper understanding of the new enblock products.

The brand name "enblock" simply stands for a "block" of "energy", i.e., a space containing energy. The enblock product line includes 2 new residential energy storage systems, the enblock E and the enblock S. The enblock E is a state-of-the-art system that features the company's advanced LFP packs. The product series offers versatility, accommodating either 4 modules (12.4kWh) in a single cabinet or expanding to 5 modules (15.5kWh) when extra capacity is required. This compact, cabinet-style system offers flexible indoor and outdoor installation options and facilitates battery capacity expansion to meet growing power needs. The enblock S is a stackable system that is designed to harmonize with customers' home decor. Available in stand-alone and wall-mounted versions, this customer-friendly product allows battery capacity expansion after initial installation by incorporating between 3 (10.6kWh) and 5 (17.7 kWh) packs.

A product in pipeline, a hybrid inverter system, set to launch in Q3 of 2023, was also promoted at the show. The system ensures effortless installation and commissioning of both batteries and inverters. It will be available in both high-voltage and low-voltage configurations.

A new containerized solution, featuring advanced LFP cells, offers convenient installation and precise State of Charge (SOC) measurement. The S-Frame pack, based on NCM batteries, enhances safety by proactively preventing thermal events and has been recognized for its outstanding safety among NCM-based products.

The newly launched S-Frame pack, based on NCM batteries, enhances safety by proactively preventing thermal events. Recognized for its exceptional safety among NCM-based products, the S-Frame pack was selected as a finalist for The ees AWARD 2023. The S-Frame pack comes in a rack design for modular energy storage systems with an energy content of 17 kWh. It features metal clips and compression pads that ensure consistent pressure on the cells, even when gas forms.
