  • Winaico has announced it plans to launch a new solar module product with 375W output for Europe under the series name GEMINI
  • Scheduled to be available in the commercial market from March 2021, it will target private and commercial rooftop installations
  • The module has 120 monocrystalline half cells, 20.6% efficiency and multi-busbar (9-busbar) technology

Taiwanese solar module maker Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd. is set to launch a new series of solar PV modules in the European market through its German subsidiary Winaico Deutschland GmbH. The 375W product will be introduced to the market in March 2021.
Winaico calls the new product WST-MG Gemini module series with 120 monocrsytalline half cells and 20.6% efficiency. The module has a dimension of 1,759cm x 1,034 cm and uses 9 busbars. The manufacturer says it has used reflective wires for interconnection to improve optical gains and boost the power output.
The new Gemini series is targeted for private and commercial rooftop installations.
"In view of the enormous growth potential for private and commercial rooftop systems, we are pleased to be able to offer our customers a compact module with strong wattage in the future as well," said Head of Sales & Marketing at Winaico Deutschland GmbH, Marc Ortmanns. "Of course, we also provide a 25-year product guarantee for the new WST Gemini series."
With the European solar market showing strong resilience last year and expected to grow in the 2-digit range over the coming years, there have been numerous module launches announced for the European rooftop market. In December 2020, Sharp Energy Solutions Europe added 2 new module products to its half-cell PV portfolio with 360W and 370W output using M6 wafer size (see New PERC Half-Cell Modules From Sharp). Before Sharp, Chinese PV manufacturer Trina Solar launched its new module for residential and commercial rooftop space of Europe offering up to 405W output (see Trina Solar's New Module For Rooftops).
