A pioneer in making frameless PV modules, DAH Solar recently showcased a rectangular TOPCon cell-based module series based on a patented Full-Screen design at the SNEC 2024 exhibition.
Full-Screen modules
Speaking to TaiyangNews at the event, the company highlighted its new 182 x 191.6 mm rectangular TOPCon cell-based Full-Screen PV module series suitable for multiple applications. Its innovative Full-Screen module design doesn’t have a front frame, where as a regular PV module has a 5 mm frame on the front. The company explained that this front frameless design contributes to mitigating the risk of dust or water accumulation along the edge of the short-side frame.
This feature can help the module increase power generation by 6% to 15% compared to a standard PV module, according to the manufacturer.
The latest commercially available Full-Screen dual-glass modules from DAH have 4 different new product series, namely DHN-72R20-FS-610~630W, EN-DHN-72R18-DG-FS-610~630W, EN-DHN-54R20-FS-450~470W, and EN-DHN-54R18-DG-FS-450~470W.
C&I & Utility application
DHN-72R20-FS-610~630W series Full-Screen module based on 144 rectangular n-TOPCon half-cell matrix, boasts a power output of up to 630 W and efficiency of up to 23.32%. It has a 2,382 x 1,303 x 32 mm size. The EN-DHN-72R18-DG-FS-610~630W series model offers 630 W maximum power output and an efficiency of up to 23.14% in a dimension of 2,382 x 1,303 x 28 mm. Both these offerings cater to C&I and utility-scale applications.
DG Application
EN-DHN-54R20-FS-450~470W model configured in 108 pieces of rectangular n-TOPCon half-cell matrix yields a power output of up to 470 W and an efficiency of up to 23.52% in 1,762 x 1,134 x 32 mm active area, noted DAH Solar. This model is suitable for distributed generation (DG) applications. On the other hand, the EN-DHN-54R18-DG-FS-450~470W series with 470 W maximum power output comes in 1,800 x 1,134 x 28 mm module dimension, added the company.
All of the 4 above-mentioned module series are integrated with n-TOPCon cells, offering high bifaciality of up to 85% that can boost output power generation by 5% to 25%. According to the company, the high-quality n-TOPCon cell-based module shows enhanced power generation in low light and in high-temperature field conditions. All the new rectangular cell-based Full-Screen models offer 30 years of guaranteed linear power warranty.
Busbarless (0BB) Full-Screen module
DAH Solar also displayed its 470 W and 23.52% efficient DBB (Dense-Busbar) series Full-Screen PV module. According to the manufacturer, the 1,762 x 1,134 x 32 mm size module incorporates multiple technological features such as Full-Screen, n-TOPCon, rectangular cell, and busbarless (0BB) metallization on TOPCon cell. It achieves 20%+ silver consumption reduction by eliminating the printed bus bar over the cell surface while reducing the shading area, which boosts 0.1%+ conversion efficiency and an additional 3 W average power output, explained the company. This commercially available module for the European market offers 25 years of technology and product warranty with 30 years of linear power performance warranty.
Alongside the mainstream multi-application Full-Screen PV modules, DAH Solar also introduced Full-Screen colored PV modules in a power range of 380 W to 430 W. The module’s color can be customized upon customer’s demand, added the company.
