Houston-Headquartered Manufacturer Showcased Latest Scenario-Based Products At The Show

SEG Solar, a Houston, Texas-headquartered PV module maker exhibited its latest US-made multiple application scenario-based products at the RE+ 2024 event. The company highlighted the upgraded version of n-type YUKON N-Series models suitable for commercial & industrial (C&I), utility, and residential US customers among other offerings. In a one-on-one conversation with TaiyangNews, SEG Solar's VP of channel partners and distribution Mark Czap also shared the company’s plan to produce some of its showcased products at its upcoming plant in Indonesia, while the company has a manufacturing capacity of 2 GW in the US. According to the company website, SEG Solar expects the 1st phase of its Indonesian factory with 5 GW of solar cell and 3 GW of module capacity to become operational by Q2 2025.

C&I and utility product

At the event, the company highlighted its latest YUKON N Series SEG-595-BTA-BG bifacial module at the show. This model, featuring 144 half-cells of M10 size n-TOPCon cells, boasts a power output of up to 595 W and an efficiency of 23.03%. The latest 2,278 x 1,134 x 30 mm size module, manufactured at SEG Solar’s Houston factory, is suitable for C&I and utility-scale applications. This module’s customizable solar cable length offers an installation-friendly product compatible with portrait or landscape-oriented installations, added SEG Solar. The company is open to taking pre-orders for this latest model, expected to be commercially available by November 2024.

SEG Solar also exhibited its latest ALPINE N series 720 W modules, featuring 132 half-cells of G12-size. This latest model features a slightly higher power of 720 W, a 5 W improvement over its current best version, along with an improved efficiency of 23.18%. This module’s 2,384 x 1,134 x 30 mm size is suitable for utility-scale applications.

The company offers up to 15 years of product and 30 years of performance warranty for these modules.

Residential product

The company also highlighted its latest residential application YUKON N Series bifacial all-black module, featuring 108 pieces of M10 size half-cells. This module delivers a power output of up to 445 W and an efficiency of up to 22.79%. Available in dimensions of 1,722 x 1,134 x 30 mm, this module is laminated with 2 mm thick tempered solar glass on both sides integrated with a 30 mm height black anodized aluminum alloy frame, and weighs 24 kg. With its compact size and light weight, the module can be handled by 1 person, added the company. SEG Solar offers 30 years of warranty for both product and power attenuation for this black aesthetically pleasing module. This latest model is expected to be commercially available by January 2025.

Moreover, the US-based module manufacturer unveiled its special application frameless Anti-Dust PV module, designed to resist dust accumulation and improve the draining of water.
