The Mobility House is a Munich-based company that has been developing smart solutions for sustainable e-mobility for more than 15 years. The company has received The EM-Power AWARD for its ChargePilot, an adaptable and integrative energy management system optimized for charging. This hardware-independent platform is ideal for parking lots and commercial buildings, serving to reduce peak loads and offering an inexpensive alternative to expanding grid infrastructure.

The wider adoption of electric passenger cars hinges on a charging system that can leverage available renewable electricity and the local power grid, a vital consideration for large parking lots with multiple EV charging points. ChargePilot establishes communication between each of the EV charging stations in the area, optimizing the entire charging process. This approach minimizes the charging costs for different purposes and markets. In Germany, this is subject to Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG). ChargePilot combines hardware and software to charge EVs primarily with electricity from renewable sources.

Additionally, ChargePilot already supports bidirectional charging (V2X). Its vehicle-to-grid functionality also helps stabilize the local power grid. The platform was unanimously selected for The EM-Power AWARD 2023 for its intuitive and upgradable platform, reliable data protection, and proven financial and ecological advantages.
