With the Australian solar plus storage market in focus, Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., showcased a lineup of products for residential, commercial, and utility applications at All Energy Australia 2025.

Sungrow’s SH110CX series hybrid inverter, when paired with the ST050CF battery system in DC-coupled configuration, provides backup to commercial consumers. The battery system, featuring modular battery packs with an energy storage capacity of up to 50 kWh, is expandable from 100 kWh to 1 MWh. Equipped with 10 MPPT channels, the inverter is designed for up to 200% oversizing (DC/AC) of the rated output capacity. In addition to harvesting solar energy, it participates in grid support operations such as peak shaving and virtual power plants (VPPs).

The system utilizes Sungrow’s iSolarCloud platform, which offers real-time remote visualization of the system. It also diagnoses faults by leveraging AI algorithms. Its single-tap system configuration feature enables quick commissioning of the system. The company states that its DC-coupled architecture supports the utilization of existing PV DC cables, meters, and dataloggers for retrofit projects, reducing project costs and installation time.

For utility, Sungrow introduced the PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage system (ESS) and the 1+X Series modular inverter, both designed to enhance grid stability and reduce system lifecycle costs. Housed in a 20 ft container, this ESS combines a 1.72 MW power conversion system with 6.9 MWh of liquid-cooled LFP batteries on a single platform. According to the company, it offers grid-forming functionality that supports stable performance in either strong or weak grid conditions. This feature generates a stable voltage and frequency reference on its own, and facilitates stable operation even in an unstable grid. The 1+X Series modular inverter features AI-powered fault diagnosis, simplifying maintenance compared to standard counterparts. Its modularity offers redundancy, where if one inverter module fails, others continue operating.

On the residential front, the company promoted its Home EcoSync Solution (SH15–25T inverter with SBH200–400 battery). For the real-time interface between the inverter, loads, and grid, this solution uses an AI-assisted energy management system. Additionally, its ‘whole-home backup’ function passes through the connected diesel generator set to the consumer’s load, bypassing the solar & storage system, typically during grid outages or load shedding. It provides backup to complete domestic loads, including critical and normal loads.

The commercialization details of these products are yet unknown.
