Sungrow FPV displayed its latest SGF-TS30M floating solar system, suitable for the European FPV market, at the expo
This modular system can accommodate PV modules up to 2,465 mm in length and 1,303 mm in width
This TÜV-certified product can withstand snow loads of up to 2.3 kN/m² and offers up to a 25-year operational guarantee
Sungrow Floating PV, leading PV inverter maker Sungrow’s floating PV (FPV) solutions arm, showcased its latest SGF-TS30M floating solar system at the expo, highlighting everything from the floating body to the smallest bolts and nuts. The company says that this FPV system incorporates a range of technological innovations tailored to the evolving needs of the European FPV market, backed by 90 patents related to floating body technology.
According to Sungrow, the European FPV sector has evolved from early technical feasibility studies to a focus on scalable economic viability and ecological integration. Consequently, market demands now emphasize high efficiency, environmental sustainability, versatility across diverse applications, and resilience to extreme climates.
The new floating body is made from eco-friendly materials and features a modular design with pre-assembled components, reducing installation time by up to 30% compared to traditional systems. Though specific details were not disclosed, the company claims the system can be installed in 6 standardized steps, simplifying construction. Furthermore, the system’s optimized layout increases installed capacity by up to 15% per unit area, enhancing energy yield.
To improve operation and maintenance (O&M), the system includes a pre-configured wiring diagram and a wide maintenance walkway (0.58 m) to ensure safe and convenient access for operators.
In terms of application flexibility, the system is compatible with PV modules up to 2,465 mm in length and 1,303 mm in width, and supports adjustable tilt angles ranging from 5° to 15°. Additionally, its low-gap design promotes high water surface utilization, maximizing energy efficiency in water-based installations.
Certified by TÜV, the system can withstand snow loads of up to 2.3 kN/m² and comes with a 25-year operational guarantee, reinforcing its durability and long-term performance.
