Tigo Energy has entered a manufacturing and marketing partnership with EG4 Electronics
According to this agreement, Tigo Energy’s MLPE and inverter will be manufactured at EG4 Electronics’ Texas factory
It will qualify Tigo Energy’s products as ‘Made-in-the-USA'
Tigo Energy, a California-based provider of Module-Level Power Electronics (MLPE) and solar and energy management software solutions, has entered a manufacturing and marketing partnership with EG4 Electronics, an American inverter and battery maker.
According to the partnership, EG4 Electronics will build the former’s MLPE, called ‘Flex MLPE’, and its inverter together. These are expected to be manufactured at EG4’s newly acquired 3,10,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Commerce, Texas. Once fully implemented, these MLPEs, which are already compatible with EG4’s inverters, will be qualified as a ‘Made-in-the-USA' product, emphasized Tigo Energy. Given the local manufacturing capacities, it is expected to create up to 1,000 US jobs.
James Showalter, founder of EG4 Electronics, said, “This partnership with Tigo is exactly the kind of arrangement we had in mind when we announced our new manufacturing facility earlier this year. We look forward to building American-made energy infrastructure together with Tigo.”
Executives from the 2 companies hosted a question-and-answer (Q&A) session for US installers at RE+ 2025, discussing how Texas-based manufacturing will boost product availability and reliability.
