Array Technologies, the US-based utility-scale solar tracker technology manufacturer, recently launched its new and upgraded STI H250 series dual-row solar tracker system, promoting its use for agrivoltaic installations among other applications
The new version of the dual row tracker system is integrated with the DuraTrack® tracker's driveline motion transmission system. It says this new transmission system provides a more precise and efficient tracking experience with enhanced flexibility.
According to the company , the new slew drives restrict the movement of each row when disconnected, ensuring safe passage for tractors and streamlining maintenance tasks – suitable for Agri-PV applications. It ensures a reduced number of piles per tracker, enhanced tolerance for East-West tilt, and a wider North-South angle between rows.
Apart from the upgradation in the hardware part, Array has integrated new dual-row tracker with a new control system that it says can seamlessly integrate with Array SmarTrack™ energy optimization software. This enhances the energy capture through the flexible adjustment of its tilt based on the terrain, adjusting with prevailing weather conditions, and with specific geographical location of the installation.
IArray's General Manager EMEA, Xabier Urcelaysaid, "The STI H250 tracker exemplifies Array's steadfast commitment to innovation and its prominent position within the solar energy sector. This advanced technology not only elevates energy output but also commits to improving the profitability of solar installations."
The US manufacturer plans to exhibit this tracker at the Genera 2024 trade show starting from February 6 to 8 in Madrid, Spain.
