  • Trinasolar presents its latest 5.015 MWh Elementa 2 Pro BESS solution at Intersolar Europe 2025

  • It also highlights Vertex S+ Shield (NED9R.28) and Vertex N Shield (NED19RC.20) solutions for extreme weather events

  • Additionally, the Trinasolar booth showcases its new Honey NEG9M4C.26 dual-glass module

Trinasolar’s latest Elementa 2 Pro smart battery energy storage system (BESS), Shield solution for extreme climates, and brand-new Honey module are the highlights at its booth (A1.170) at Intersolar Europe 2025.

Smart Storage

Engineered for Europe’s PV + storage applications, Trina Storage’s Elementa 2 Pro BESS features a 416S12P battery configuration with 3.2 V, 314 Ah cells, delivering an energy storage capacity of up to 5.015 MWh. With an operating voltage range of 1,123.2 V to 1,497.6 V, the system is designed to support 2 to 8 hours of operation.

To ensure long-term performance, the battery is certified for up to 15,000 charge/discharge cycles, with zero degradation in the first year, according to the company. Its hybrid air-liquid cooling system, coupled with intelligent temperature control, maintains a cell temperature difference within ≤ 2.5 °C and reduces auxiliary power consumption by up to 30%.

Housed in a 20 ft high-cube container (6,058 × 2,896 × 2,438 mm), the system supports side-by-side and back-to-back installations – enhancing site flexibility and improving energy density by 12%, claims Trina Storage. Operating at noise levels below 70 dB, it is well-suited for both urban and industrial environments.

To mitigate risks in high-hazard environments, the system is equipped with fire detection, suppression, and explosion prevention features.

Shielding Extreme Climates

To address Europe's harsh weather conditions, Trinasolar introduces the latest Vertex S+ Shield (NED9R.28) for rooftops and Vertex N Shield (NED19RC.20) for ground-mounted systems. The ground-mounted Shield solution, combined with Vanguard 1P trackers or fixed-tilt structures, is engineered to maintain power output during severe weather.

The NED19RC.20 module, measuring 1,760 × 1,130 mm, features glass that is up to 25% thicker than conventional designs, offering 2.5x higher resistance to external impact. It also includes a specially designed frame to enhance load-bearing capacity. Certified to withstand hailstones up to 75 mm and mechanical loads of +8,000/-6,000 Pa (fixed) and +3,600/-3,000 Pa (tracking), this module ensures robust performance under stress.

Honey Module

Complementing the Shield and Elementa systems, Trinasolar also showcases the Honey NEG9M4C.26 dual-glass module – ideal for rooftop applications and system upgrades. Featuring 56 i-TOPCon cells, this module delivers up to 290 W of power with an efficiency of 17.7%.

Sized at 1,650 × 992 × 30 mm and laminated with 2 mm glass on both sides, the 21 kg module is certified to handle mechanical loads of 5,400 Pa (positive) and 2,400 Pa (negative). It comes with a 5-year product warranty and 15-year performance warranty.

Tracking Systems

Trinasolar also displays its tracker portfolio, including the Vanguard 1P (single-row) and Vanguard 2P (dual-row) systems, along with FixOrigin fixed-tilt mounting structures.

Gonzalo de la Viña, President Europe at Trinasolar, commented, “We look forward to presenting both our latest product developments and a technology roadmap that reflects Trinasolar’s commitment to innovation and long-term technological leadership in the renewable energy industry. The trade fair is also a valuable opportunity to connect with our partners and customers, understand their evolving needs, and explore how we can support their projects — whether through high-efficiency systems, flexible hybrid solutions, or future-proof designs built for resilience and sustainability.”
