During RE+ 2025, WATTMORE, a US-based provider of solar plus storage plant monitoring solutions, launched its latest product – Intellect EnFORM.

The company characterizes this platform, consisting of Operate (energy management system or EMS) and EnFORM (data acquisition & monitoring system or DAS), as the ‘next generation solar plus storage monitoring platform’. One of the standout features of the EnFORM is its embedded artificial intelligence agent, called Solstice. The company states that the solution leverages AI algorithms to offer multiple automated functions that empower operators to operate and manage assets with clarity and precision. It automatically detects anomalies of an operational plant’s key performance indicators and provides root cause analysis in real-time. The performance benchmarking of a PV plus storage plant, such as the capacity utilization factor (CUF) and performance ratio (PR), among others, is digitally normalized based on weather forecasts for the upcoming days. It also analyzes and compares key performance parameters between different PV plus storage blocks on a peer-to-peer basis to provide insights into the individual plant’s health. Extrapolating accumulated production data, Solstice offers financial insights into an operational plant, offering actionable steps. WATTMORE added that its DAS system ensures the accumulated data is accurate, reliable, and accessible. This is attributable to EnFORM’s data logging, which is resilient to external disturbances and supported by rugged hardware. The accumulated data is displayed in cloud-based dashboards for clear visualization and monitoring of an operational site.

Intellect’s EMS solution, called ‘Operate’, is developed for monitoring and controlling a utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) with or without PV. Among multiple functionalities of this system, the company emphasizes automatic charge or discharge scheduling that aligns with time-of-day (TOD) tariffs or use cases. It also enables energy generation optimization for enhanced energy harvesting and grid-forming technology for independence from grid power. These features, together, balance the economics and reliability of the storage system, says WATTMORE.

The Intellect EnFORM monitoring solution is commercially available.
