250 MW Floating Solar Power Tender

  • SCCL is seeking PMC services for a 250 MW DC floating solar power plant
  • It plans to develop the project on Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar, Telangana
  • Project capacity is not yet final as SECI is to submit a detailed project report basis which the final capacity will be decided

Indian coal miner, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), is looking for project management consultants for a 250 MW DC floating solar power capacity it plans to develop at Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar, Telangana.

The agency added that the capacity planned is tentative and actual capacity will be known the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) submits the detailed project report (DPR).

As the PMC, the broad scope of work will be divided into 5 phases namely basic engineering services including technology assessment; design engineering review services of the EPC contractor; site preparation and construction management services; inspection and testing services and plant handover services; as well as module inspection services.

Last date to submit bids is November 8, 2021. Bid documents are available on Telangana state government's e-procurement website with Tender No. E0121O0255.

In January 2021, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar was quoted by local media as saying his company is planning to develop a 300 MW floating solar plant on Manair Dam and that it was seeking requisite regulatory clearances (see India PV News Snippets: EDEN, SCCL, Cipla, SWSL, MNRE).
