Singapore-based renewable energy company Aslan Energy Capital (AEC) has invited solar power developers for power supply from 1.2 GW of solar PV capacity in Indonesia’s Riau Islands.

Interested bidders are required to participate in a pre-qualification process to win a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Aslan. Solar PV power projects with a combined 1.2 GW capacity can either be established on land identified by the developers or on land provided by Aslan.

Solar power generated by the projects will be purchased by Aslan to be supplied to a Batam-based industrial facility owned and operated by the latter.

Eligible companies/consortiums registered as operating entities in Singapore or Indonesia can participate in the tender. These must have a net worth of at least $50 million with a minimum annual revenue of $100 million during the last 3 financial years. Within Asia, they must have installed 50 MW or more.

Aslan issued the call on December 20, 2024. Interested bidders can register their interest by January 31, 2025 on Aslan’s website. Pre-qualification documents can then be submitted by February 28, 2025. The tender will be issued to pre-qualified companies on March 14, 2025.

In August 2024, AEC and PT Calypte joined hands for a 2 GW solar power complex in the Riau Islands (see 2 GW Solar Energy Generation Hub Unveiled In Indonesia).
