The green energy arm of India's state-owned utility NTPC Limited, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited bids from interested EPC contractors to build 650 MW solar PV capacity in the desert state of Rajasthan.
The entire capacity needs to be developed as 2 projects of 325 MW each. Both must be grid-connected on completion in Bikaner district.
Supply of solar PV modules is part of the job description that spans design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning as well.
The winners will be expected to design and construct the foundation and erect tracker-based module mounting structures, fixing the modules on the same along with the module interconnection. Power evacuation in the scope of the package shall be up to 33 kV main pooling switchgear at the owner's pooling substation.
Ensuring a module cleaning system will also be part of the job including supply and installation of all accessories. On commissioning, the winner will provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the facilities for 3 years.
NTPC REL launched the tender on October 28, 2023. The last date to submit bids is December 12, 2023. Details are available on NTPC's tender website with NIT code: NRE-CS-5800-004(EPC1)-9.
