GSECL has launched a competitive solicitation process for a 110 MW floating solar PV project
It will be located at the Kadana Dam Reservoir in Mahisagar district in Gujarat
Winners will be required to provide comprehensive O&M for 10 years for the project
The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has invited proposals from interested developers for a 110 MW AC floating solar PV project in the Mahisagar district of Gujarat. It will be located at the Kadana Dam Reservoir.
The dam supports the development of a pumped-storage hydroelectric power station. According to the notice, interested bidders will be required to offer design, engineering, procurement and construction services, along with providing comprehensive operation & maintenance of the project for 10 years.
Project commissioning is targeted within 18 months from the issue of the letter of intent (LOI).
To be eligible, bidders must have installed at least a 10 MW floating solar project or should have a 30 MW project under execution in India. They should have a cumulative experience of a minimum of 110 MW AC ground-mounted solar capacity. Their experience should include at least 65 MW AC capacity commissioned at a single location or at least 2x45 MW AC or higher capacity commissioned at a single location, or 3x25 MW AC of higher capacity projects commissioned at a single location.
The tender was launched on February 12, 2025. The last date to submit bids is March 12, 2025.
