Haryana Power Purchase Center (HPPC) is soliciting bids to purchase power from 500 MW grid connected solar PV capacity to be set up across the state with tariffs capped at INR 3.38 ($0.041)/kWh on behalf of state power distributors Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).

It intends to procure this capacity maximum up to 10 MW from single solar power developer to meet its renewable purchase obligation (RPO). Projects under construction and those not yet commissioned will be eligible to participate in this competitive process.

Minimum project capacity of the ground mounted facilities at a single location will be 1 MW and maximum not exceeding 10 MW. Selected companies will be responsible for design, finance, land procurement, EPC and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the projects.

HPPC will enter into 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the winners.

Launched on April 17, 2023, last date to submit bids to this request for selection (RFS) round is May 24, 2023, to be followed by reverse auction on June 5, 2023.
