Maharashtra Utility Launches 600 MW Solar Tender

MAHAGENCO Seeking Bidders for 600 MW Solar PV Capacity Under MSKVY Scheme

The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has invited bids for 600 MW solar power capacity to be set up across 6 districts under Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojna (MSKVY) for power to be supplied to agricultural consumers during daytime.

It will allocate 100 MW to each of these 6 districts, namely Nagpur, Amravati, Aurangabad, Konkan, Nashik and Pune. Individual solar project capacity will need to be between 2 MW to 10 MW, depending on availability of substation connectivity.

Bidders will be expected to arrange land for the projects which can either be owned by them or leased near 11kV substation of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd (MSEDCL). Other broad tasks of the winners will be to construct and commission projects along with power evacuation arrangement.

Operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project will also be the responsibility of the winner for 25 years.
