NTPC Green Energy Limited has invited bids for 750 MW DC bifacial solar modules
These will be installed at Gujarat’s INGEL project as per the tender launched on behalf of IndianOil
It also seeks EPC partners for a 250 MW tracker-based solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), the renewable energy arm of India’s state-owned utility NTPC Limited, has opened a competitive solicitation for the supply of 750 MW DC/600 MW AC bifacial solar modules.
The modules are required for the INGEL Solar Project in Bhuj, Gujarat, and should be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List I (ALMM List I). NTPC has issued the call on behalf of IndianOil.
According to the tender document, these modules will be deployed in 2 blocks of 375 MW DC each. Each module should have a minimum power output of 570 MW.
The broad scope of work involves manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, and transportation of crystalline solar PV bifacial solar modules.
The bidders can quote for a minimum capacity of 378.75 MWp corresponding to one block or a maximum capacity of 757.50 MWp corresponding to 2 blocks.
The call was launched on May 30, 2025, with the last date of submission being July 3, 2025.
In a separate tender launched on May 30, 2025, NGEL is seeking EPC contractors for the development of a 250 MW grid-connected solar PV project at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Winning bidders will be required to design and construct the foundation and erection of a tracker-based module mounting structure (MMS) for solar panels, including fixing of PV modules on a tracker-based MMS and PV module interconnection.
Bids for the EPC tender will be accepted till June 30, 2025.
