NTPC Issues Large-Scale Hybrid RE Tender

The largest electricity utility in India, NTPC Ltd has launched a tender for 1.5 GW wind-solar hybrid power projects capacity, with interstate transmission system (ISTS) connectivity, to be set up anywhere in the country.

Technical and commercial bids are invited from hybrid power projects developers under this international tender.

Tender was launched on July 19, 2023, with last date of bid submission being August 22, 2023. Details with NIT no. NTPC/RE-CS/2023-24/Hybrid/BOO-8 are available on NTPC's tender website.

As one of the government's Renewable Energy Implementing Agencies (REIA), NTPC, along with SECI, NHPC and SJVN, is mandated to tender at least 50 GW renewable energy capacity in FY 2023-24 to ensure the country achieves its target of 500 GW installed capacity by 2030.
